Welcome to the Deep South. Sweet Tea Tour day 1! On the road this week visiting a billion colleges. Crazy that I'm attending these tours after planning one on the college side for seven years. I arrived in Birmingham with three hours to kill so I went for a run on Birmingham Southern College's campus. It is rolling, wooded, and has beautiful old brick buildings. Sounds like another small liberal arts college I know! Actually, it really reminded me of Wittenberg. I'll definitely be recommending this one to some of my students. They treated us counselors well, showing off their campus and offering us some "sippin'" time at the end of the day.
